Normal End of Build Cleaning Procedure

​

If there is big building rubble we do not remove this or clean this-this is for the builder to remove.

If there are paint marks - we do not remove this.

If there are cement marks we do not remove this.

These are things for builders or decorators to do.

 

• General all rooms

  • Clean radiators and fire surround, spindles and bannisters, light fittings and shades. 

  • Clean skirting boards.

  • Clean mirrors, picture frames. 

  • Clean doors, door frames, handles. 

  • wipe down walls

  • clean light fittings 

  • Clean light switches. 

  • Clean from inside windows and window sills. 

  • Clean all surfaces.

  • Vacuum the floor, wash mop if require.

  • some flats or apartments have a small storage room by the front door - check and sweep this out - remove all rubbish.

  • clean cobwebs

  • If there is furniture

    • Upholstery vacuumed, the cushions will be lifted and clean beneath. 

    • All wooden items and wooden furniture will be carefully wiped, clear of dust with particular attention. 

 

• Kitchen

  • Wipe down kitchen tiles

  • Remove where possible stains and marks from all kitchen tops, doors, door frames, skirt boards, light switches, etc. 

  • Clean all kitchen surfaces.

  • Clean inside and out all kitchen cupboards and drawers. Remove any old food and food wastes and dust accumulated

  • Wash sink and taps

  • Clean inside windows. 

  • Hoovering and wash the floor. 

  • Clean bins inside and out.

  • Clean the handles of cupboards

  • Clean on top of cupboards

• If there is a fridge :

  • clean the shelves

  • wipe the fridge outside and inside 

  • throw away all things that are food related to the fridge

  • make sure no dust in the fridge

• If there is an oven:

  • clean the glass on the inside and outside

  • clean trays 

  • clean shelves

  • clean the seal

  • general wipe down 

  • Dust in the oven removed as much as possible

• If there is a hob or extractor

  • For gas hobs

    • clean the buttons, lift the gas burners - clean under the gas burners

  • For extractor

    • wipe down the hood 

• Bathroom

  • Wash toilet, disinfect toilet seat. 

  • Wash shower screen. 

  • Wash bath tube, shower, basin, taps and all other fittings 

  • Clean mirrors. 

  • Wash tiles. 

  • Clean from inside windows and window sills. 

  • Clean inside and out drawers. 

  • Clean all surfaces. 

  • Clean door, door frames, light switches. 

  • Clean toothbrush holder

  • Wipe and clean extractor fans

  • Brush/Vacuum, wash and mop the floor. 

 

• Bedroom
  
  - Clean and wipe wardrobes and chest drawers inside and out.
  - Clean mirrors, picture frames. 
  - Clean doors, door frames, handles. 
  - Clean light switches.
  - Clean from inside windows and window sills. 
  - Clean radiators and fire surround, spindles and bannisters, light fittings and shades. 
  - Dust skirting boards. 
  - All light furniture to be moved and floors to be cleaned beneath. All skirting boards to be dusted behind the furniture. 
  - Mattresses will be lifted and vacuumed beneath. 
  - Upholstery vacuumed, the cushions will be lifted and clean beneath.
  - All wooden items and wooden furniture will be carefully wiped, clear of dust with particular attention. 
  - Clean and polish all surfaces. 
  - Vacuum the floor, wash and sanitise if require.

 

• Living rooms / Lounge
  
  - Clean doors, door frames, handles. 
  - Clean mirrors, picture frames. 
  - Clean light switches. 
  - Clean from inside windows and window sills. 
  - Clean radiators and fire surround, spindles and bannisters, light fittings and shades.
  - Dust skirting boards. 
  - All light furniture to be moved and floors to be cleaned beneath. All skirting boards to be dusted behind the furniture.
