Terms and Conditions

Welcome to ‘The Tree House’ crèche and play services.

We aim to make sessions at The Tree House accessible to all families who are members of Cedars Health and Leisure Club as well as non-members.

The Tree House team will work with parents as partners in providing quality care for your children. When you register with us we will ask you to tell us more about your child so we can make sure that we can offer them the best care possible. We are a fully inclusive setting and are experienced in caring for children with additional needs.

Our full set of policies are available on request (a summary is on the notice board) and we would be happy to discuss these with you if you have any questions.

Crèche services booking

Crèche opening hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am – 2.30pm, Saturday 8.30am – 12.30pm. Bookings can be made online or by calling the crèche on 0330 390 0491. Families may arrange a free trial session (30 mins) by appointment.  Our family registration fee is payable prior to the first booking being made and an annual fee of £10 per child registered annually thereafter.

Online bookings are made in 30-minute slots and we require a minimum of 1-hour booking per child. Maximum booking of 2 hours per day for children under 2 and 3 hours per day for children aged 2 and over and we can take a maximum of 8 babies/children per hour.

We have a number of ways you can pay for crèche sessions.

Pay as you go - not sure how often you will need to use the crèche? Just pay for what you use either by ‘Advance booking’ made more than 7 days in advance at £9 per hour or ‘Standard booking’ made under 7 days in advance at £10 per hour.

Block booking:  This 10 session pass (10 hours) enables you book up to 10 days in advance for £85 and must be used within 6 months.

Unlimited crèche pass: For maximum flexibility an unlimited crèche pass is available for £160 per child per month paid by direct debit (10% discount on second and subsequent children.)  Bookings can be made up to 2 weeks in advance and you may change your booking a maximum of twice a month at short notice (under 24 hours) per month. Unlimited crèche pass holders will be eligible for special discounts on birthday parties and other play services offered at The Tree House. Payment will be pro rata for the first month and then payment taken monthly on the 1st of the month until cancellation.

Cancellations

If you give us more than 24 hours notice we will be happy to rearrange your booking for you but regret we cannot give refunds for cancellations under 24 hours in advance. Please contact us by phone to make cancellations on 0330 390 049.

Sickness.

If your child is suffering from a contagious illness or infection or has had sickness and/or diarrhoea they must not attend the crèche for 48 hours after the last incidence of either. Should your child become ill whilst at the crèche we will inform you immediately so that you can collect them. Please speak to a member of staff about medication such as epi-pens or inhalers for asthma. We cannot administer Calpol or antibiotics.

Late Collections

Please make sure you are here to collect your child promptly at the end of their session. We will charge a fee of £5 for late collections. If this is a persistent issue your crèche membership will be reviewed.

What do I need to provide?

Please send any milk and lunch/snacks nappies/change of clothes your child requires for their session in a marked bag – please note we are unable to re-heat food. Please note we are a nut free environment so please check any food sent in.  We will be playing so please send your child in clothes that they are comfortable in and that you don’t mind getting messy or wet.  Aprons are provided, but we do not force the children to wear them.

Transitions

When you drop your child with us you are very welcome to stay for a short while to settle them. We are happy to accommodate any special toys or blankets that will help your child feel secure during their time with us.  We will do our best to look after children’s personal belongings while they are with us – they will have a safe place to put them if they wish but we cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage.
